Axiom Forensic Sciences provides specialized post-loss environmental assessments and investigations for residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional properties affected by fire, water, impact, structural failure, or other damaging events. These occurrences can disturb existing hazardous building materials or generate contaminants that may present health, safety, remediation, and restoration concerns.

Our environmental professionals conduct systematic site assessments to identify, document, and evaluate contaminants and hazardous substances that may have been disturbed, released, deposited, or generated as a result of the loss. Assessments may include asbestos-containing materials, combustion by-product particulate, lead-containing materials, mould and microbial growth, and other potentially hazardous substances identified during the investigation.

Where appropriate, our work may include visual assessment, development of sampling strategies, collection of representative samples, laboratory analysis, interpretation of analytical results, documentation of affected areas, and recommendations for remediation, cleaning, containment, or additional investigation. Our findings assist property owners, insurers, adjusters, restoration contractors, and other stakeholders in understanding environmental conditions and developing an appropriate, technically defensible course of action.
